After a site inspection, 2 Zeta engineers identified and presented to the customer the most appropriate solution to bring the plant's noise level within the legal limits allowed through a descriptive project, forecast of the economic investment, production times and installation requirements.
The solution consists of two distinct parts: the first is a parallelepiped silencer with dissipative bafflels placed on the upper fan, with a complete closure of the same, replacing the original cylindrical silencer which was not sufficiently effective.
The second part is a sound-isolating sound-absorbing barrier placed on the 3 sides, with the front side facing the home almost to the ground, while the two sides are raised for the correct intake air flow.
ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL INFORMATIONThe soundproofing intervention has met the limits for the acoustic zoning for receptors in class III, 45 dB(A) at night time.
Graphic measurementsThe perimeter panel facing the intake grilles is positioned at a distance such as to allow the correct air passage. The thickness of the panel is chosen on the basis of the acoustic attenuation to be achieved and the thickness of the structure that is able to contain the panelling, since in addition to the acoustic calculation our engineering dept. performs static and seismic calculation to ensure the correct stability of the structure.
The silencer is dimensioned based on the air flow characteristics and evaporative tower load losses. Made of galvanized sheet metal with sound-isolating sound-absorbing dissipative sets, spaced to allow for proper air passage and acoustic absorption.
